The Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds are set to play a game at one of the most renowned motorsports venues during the 2025 season. As reported by Jordan Bianchi and Evan Drellich of The Athletic, these teams will compete at the famous Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee. An official announcement from MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and Speedway Motorsports CEO Marcus Smith is anticipated on Friday.
This event marks MLB’s latest addition to its special venue series, following previous games at the Field of Dreams in Iowa, Rickwood Field in Birmingham, and the Little League World Series site in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. MLB has also expanded its reach internationally with games in London, Mexico City, Tokyo, and Seoul.
Bristol Motor Speedway, well-known for hosting two major NASCAR races annually with nearly 150,000 spectators, also held a record-breaking college football game in 2016 between Tennessee and Virginia Tech, which drew 156,990 fans.

Bianchi and Drellich suggest this game could be the beginning of a partnership between MLB and Smith, whose company oversees 10 tracks hosting 14 NASCAR Cup Series races combined. The Braves, a leading team in the National League, and the Reds, energized by star shortstop Elly De La Cruz, promise an exciting matchup at this unique venue.
