Chase Elliott Reveals The Artist On His Playlist That Might Surprise People

Is this what he listens to during long green flag runs?

Ok obviously NASCAR drivers aren’t listening to music during a race. But what is Chase Elliott listening to when he’s not behind the wheel of the #9 car?

It’s no secret that Chase is a BIG Eric Church guy. Back a couple years ago when Church held up a Chase Elliott flag while performing “Talladega” in North Carolina, Chase even called Eric “the GOAT.”

And last year, the two were able to sit down for a killer interview with Lindsay Czarniak, where they both talked about their careers and Chase spoke about what Eric’s music means to him.

But other than Church, who is Chase listening to?

We had the chance to catch up with Chase ahead of this weekend’s Ally 400 here in Nashville, and asked him who he had on his playlist that might surprise people. And it turns out, he’s been listening to an artist who’s also from his home state of Georgia:

“Here lately it’s been Megan Moroney. I’m sure you probably wouldn’t see me or look at me and think that, but I really enjoy her music lately…

I heard one of her songs, stumbled across it, and liked it. It’s always good when you find somebody that has been around for a little while that has some songs established that you had not discovered yet, a little bit of a longer road to travel down and find the new music.”

Of course with as fast as she’s blown up lately, it seems like everybody is listening to Megan Moroney these days – and for good reason.

But you gotta love Chase Elliott listening to the emo cowgirl.
